The Graham Ave BID is proud to debut our new trash containers! Our sanitation team works to keep Graham Ave and select side streets clean 6–7 days a week, collecting trash from sidewalks, tree beds, and streets. While we previously left this trash on the corners for DSNY collection, moving forward we will containerize our own trash to comply with new City regulations.
These compact dumpsters, located at six different sites in the corridor (on Graham Ave near Boerum, Seigel, Varet, Debevoise, Flushing, and on Humboldt St near Varet St), will help us keep things clean, tidy, and out of the way. We will soon be selecting a local artist who can work with our community kids to paint these containers with custom artwork to help us beautify our streetscape.
